Week 03
Colour without guessing
Building a palette from constraints instead of taste. Perceptual lightness, warm and cool neutrals, and why your greys look muddy.

Week 03
Grey is not a colour you pick. It is a colour you build.
(What you make)
A colour ramp with documented lightness steps, tested in both themes.
What we cover
Most palettes are assembled from taste and then patched when they fail. We build one from constraints: perceptual lightness, warm and cool neutrals, and the reason your greys go muddy when you tint them.
The work
You produce a ramp that holds up in light and dark, then apply it to an interface that already exists.
